Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my family.  My name is Kara Valera and I am a small show breeder in Houston Tx. I am married with 3 beautiful children, a 18, 15, and 6 year old. 

My full time job is caring for my children, both human and fur babies.  We live in a small home in the Mission Bend area on the southwest side of Houston. 

I fell in love with this breed about 14 years ago and have learned a lot about Cavaliers since then.  I have a passion for cavaliers and raise them in my home as a part of our family.  They are all very well socialized with my children and are very loved by my family.  All of my adults are OFA heart certified, CERF eye certified, and Patella certified. They have also been DNA tested for Curly Coat Dry Eye, and Episodic Falling Syndrome. Health is very important to me as this breed does tend to have its health issues and while I can never guarantee a health issue will never pop up, I do my absolute best to lessen that risk by health testing. I am also a Board member of the Cavalier Club of Greater Houston.
